Lima – Catac – Chavin. Distancia: 431 km. Tiempo estimado: 7 a 8 h. Lima-Catac (365 km). Carretera asfaltada.

Huari – San Luis – Yungay. Distancia: 171 km. Tiempo estimado: 7 a 9 h.

Carretera afirmada.

San Luis – Chacas – Punta Olimpica – Carhuaz. Distancia: 171 km. Tiempo estimado: 7 a 9 h.

Carretera afirmada.

Chavin • San Marcos • Huari • Chacas
East of the Cordillera Blanca, to the Marañón River, lies the area known Conchucos, which is not a single valley or canyon, as the Callejón de Huaylas, but a series of valleys. The best known is the Mosna River in the south, where there are Chavin and dozens of unexplored archaeological sites. Beyond Chavin, Conchucos is only a spirit of adventure travelers looking for a different experience away from the crowd. The services are basic. Instead, there are spectacular views, wide open spaces and friendly people.
